I started organising my paintings in digital format this past week as I've been looking at making canvas prints available for some paintings.  Then, I realised that this is an anniversary of sorts.  I have been blogging for a little over a year!  And painting with consistency for a year!

I also have an interesting statistic to share and this stat took me by surprise!    In the past year I have created about 45 small paintings that I would consider acceptable work (from 4X4 inches to 16X20...most being around 5X7, 6X8,6X6, 8X8, 10X10 and 8X10).

But that number is actually closer to 70 or more when I include ones that I either did in workshops, sketches, painted over (ones not so acceptable) or ones that I consider unfinished (about 7 of those right now).  That is more than  a painting a week!! It is an interesting number  and I feel like I have accomplished something!

My anniversary collage 2011!
My goal at some point is to do a painting a day like  the Daily Painters and the Daily PaintWorks.  There are some fantasically disciplined artists out there!  I'm not sure I'm there yet!

All you locals, don't forget the Lake Country Art Gallery's Under 100 Show and Sale.  There are lots of small beautiful paintings, cards, pottery and other art items for under 100 dollars.  Give the gift of original art!

And my painting of Teddy will be raffled off to a lucky person this weekend.  Arion Therapeutic Farm is having their winter wonderland fair today and tomorrow from 10 to 3.

Hmmmm...now that I look at my collage, it almost looks like one of those crazy quilts!!  Have a wonderful weekend!
